Photo #6
From a portrait session that I did this afternoon! Would love comments!
Photo #5: Fog
Touching up this photo in photoshop actually made it kind of interesting. This is the fog that we encountered while skiing at SnowBird in Mineral Basin. You literally couldn’t tell which way was up and which was down.
Photo #4: Powder Day
Today I went skiing with my friend Melissa Burns. We had a great day at Alta and I managed to grab this great shot of her friend Weston. The skiing was awesome.
Photo #3: Fuel
I feel like it is kind of a cop-out, but it is a photo I took today.
Photo #2
Yeah, I didn’t forget, just didn’t post. In celebration of the february birthdays in the shop.
Photo Number 1: Bike on a Shrub
I had been hoping that I might find something having to do with my birthday to kick off my 365 Project, but no. I suppose there is still some time left in the day, but I wanted to get something posted just in case. This image is touched up a little in post.
So, I didn’t take this photo, but I caused it to be taken and I created the lighting effect that you see. Also, this photo really doesn’t count on my 365 Project, but I think it is really cool. This is the product of my creation on the Vectorial Elevation Project which is an interactive art display in Vancouver, Canada. You can see and read more about what I did on my blog.
The other reason that I wanted to upload this was to play with the offline blog software that I have on my computer that I have only used with my main blog which is Wordpress. So I wanted to see how it works with this Tumblr blog.
As I mentioned, I will get to kicking off my Project 365 tomorrow!
So, tomorrow is my birthday and I plan to kick off my Project 365 attempt then. Project 365 is a challenge to photographers of all types and skill levels to take at least one photo every day. It doesn’t have to be a real artsy photo, it can just be something that you did that day, you just have to actually take a photo.
I have seen many other bloggers and photographers taking on this challenge and it seemed like something that was worth attempting myself. If I really take it seriously, it should help make me a better photographer. If nothing else, it will provide a photographic retelling of my year.
I will attack the project with my three cameras. Odds are many of the photos will come from my Casio EX-S10 since it is really easy to carry with me. Then some will come from my Nikon D700 and hopefully not to many will come from my iPhone, but it does still count as a camera.
It will be an interesting adventure that I hope to be able to keep up with. Please feel free to leave comments and criticism on the photos. I do look at it all and try to use it to improve!
